A new dimension for the Scottish meat and livestock industry
QMS will provide a stronger voice for all involved in the production, processing and marketing of Scotch beef and lamb and Scottish pig meat.
QMS will improve Scotland's competitive position through:
- development, promotion and communication
- more control over funding
- whole industry representation
co-ordination and leadership
QMS will continue to develop farm and quality assurance as the basis for the promotion of SQBLA and SPII brands:
- trade and consumer promotion
- emphasis on existing brands
- domestic and export markets
- developing industry competitiveness
- product development - added value
QMS is a partnership of the key organisations in the Scottish meat and livestock industry. The board reflects a wide range of interests and expertise. QMS will consult with all sectors to ensure proper representation and to explore new marketing opportunities.
